    Hi, I really enjoyed the video. However, I have a comment concerning the Adrinka symbols being found by Thomas Bowdich. It is true that Mr. Bowdich found Adrinka printed cloth in Kumasi, but is also a good chance that there was Adrinka cloth in the Ivory Coast, but no colonizer spoke of it like Mr. Bowdich. Remember before the colonizers came the Gyaman people were located in a region that is now on the border of Ghana and the Ivory Coast. Therefore, one can make the conjecture that the Bono were the originators. However, I think it is best to say that the Akan created the Adrinka symbols instead of one tribe or the other because as you noted as well as the acclaimed author of the "Adrinka Alphabet, Charles M. Korankye, MD stated that the Adrinkra Symbols were around before the Bono-Asante conflict. Thanks again for the video. I am a Black American who is fascinated by Ghanaian history. My wife is Ghanaian, so I have been immersing myself in her culture as well as learning Twi. Medaase paa.

    Elmina means the mines, which is literally an Akan word, "a-mina". "Amina" means a hole (as in, to dig holes into the ground) because there was a gold mining area and you dig to find gold. In the Akan language, we use the word "efie asi" to denote prison, which means "underneath a house", which also best describes a dungeon. "Aban koko mu" (the heart or bosom of the government) is also used to denote, prison, which also best describes a dungeon. These dungeons were at best prisons which housed nothing but prisoners and I doubt they were built by the Europeans, probably by the Afrikan rulers in Europe (unless people do not believe that Afrikans once ruled the world). So much indoctrination to unlearn.

  • @Komfo_Adu
    @Komfo_Adu 3 місяці тому

    What is there to prove that Elmina castle was built by Europeans and the Portuguese? There is no proof of this. Castles are littered all over Europe, none of these, however, are considered "slave castles" yet in Ghana these castles are considered, slave castles. Who builds castles simply to house slaves? If slaves were taken from castles in Ghana, which castles were they taken to in the Americas? The narrative of the slave trade is either a lie or has been overly exaggerated. The presence of *ABIBIFO* all over the world is not due to slavery. The sole purpose of the slavery narrative is to stipulate that blacks are in the Americas or Asia because of slavery, which is false since we very much originated everywhere.

    Adinkra codes are found and relate to ancient Egypt when the Dogon tribe were the original settlers of Kemet (ancient Egypt). They were eventually overthrown and moved to modern day Mali! Ghana and Mali were 2 of the largest tribes back then in west Africa. I think the Dogon tribe designed those binary adinkra codes into symbols and taught the Ashanti people.

    Madam, please get your history right. The first war between Asantes and Gyaaman was in 1730, after the Asantes defeated Takyiman in 1722-1724 and their king fled northwest to seek refuge with the Gyaaman king.. The king of Asante, who had long eyed Gyaman's strategic location along the Northern trade routes, used this as an excuse to invade and conquer Gyaaman in 1731, almost 90 years before Thomas Bowdich came to Asante, and the Adinkra War of 1818 So, Adinkra was a king paying tribute to the Asante King, and who rebelled

    6:22 The song you are referring here was called Eenie, Meenie, Miney, Moe - White children & black children knew it, except whites said nga instead of tiger. Never knew it was about rape, but never knew "picnic" was about picking a nga to hang either until I became an adult. "Eenie, meenie, miney, moe, Catch a nga by the toe. If he hollers, let him go. My mother said to pick The very best one And you are not it."

    And that's the BIGGEST"; issue out of all and I don't think people see the greater picture here when "REPARATIONS IS ASKED FOR"BECAUSE THE AMOUNT energy that it took to continuously attribute to promote and hatred and you know ways against us design a system that could be used to no longer treat us as equals and so with this being said means that we were never allowed or afforded the equality or anyting of the sort to establish a classism for ourselves in such a manner is opening businesses or allowed to go to certain schools or even just you know walking down the street we weren't afforded these things in reality it's stopped Us in Henderson us to this day and some states and cities from becoming or achieving the attributes that we would like to achieve okay because of the color of our skin everything that we do constantly. Suss if we go to a car lot to buy a car the price goes up a little more because we are colored. If we walk into a department store and we have a pocketbook we are followed around because you know they think we're going to steal. If we go to the bank to cash say a large tech that we usually don't come into cash but we hit the lottery or whatever it is we are subjected to the most rude and untrusting attitude even by people with the same color they were trained that way okay. If we walk into a Balenciaga Valentino or any of these stores you know being colored we are not afforded the same help order the same manners that someone of the Caucasian persuasion would be accosted, if we walk into a restaurant and we want to be seated in a certain area we may not be able to get that seat if another family is coming in that is not black okay and then another thing about restaurants is you can never really trust who's preparing your food if they know that you are do anything to your meal okay. One more thing that you know isn't talked about enough the same decisions that are so simple and easy for a Caucasian person to make our thought about twice before we do it for instance if my sister-in-law who happens to be Caucasian told me you know I got some stuff for you but we're going to the movies so I'm going to leave it on the porch you know just come by and get it and she lives in a predominantly white neighborhood okay I have to think twice if I want to go there and take the chance of either being shot at and not making it home and then lied on saying that I was trying to break in somebody's house or I was feeling off their porch. Or I have the daunting task of going there and having the police there within two seconds of my arrival and it will go to me explaining to him that this is my sister-in-law's home I'm coming to pick up something I put my sister-in-law on video chat she's on there she's proving with her license at that's her property I'm showing them look I got the key she's telling him she has a key that's my sister I go blatantly go to the door put the key in turn the lockto show him and prove to him that hey I can get in the house I have a key yadi yadi ya and he still may not believe me. And if he does believe me okay if he's a you know cool officer not even cool but if he's an officer that is doing his job and he's not being racist and he's not trying to make trouble with me he will reply with okay one of the neighbors called we're just doing a safety check or he can be a complete racist and say oh can I see your license or ID now we're in an issue this could go one or two ways I can either start defying him by saying I don't have to show you my ID or license because you're not in doubt or you're not curious to know is whether there is a an issue here or a lot of people would say this just give them the ID and obey the law and you'll be fine okay but now once I given you my ID or running my name and you find out that everything is good and dandy and this is taking us a whole hour to do now I'm upset I am extremely my dignity has been suppressed and all of this because I ama woman of color these are the decisions that you Caucasian people will never understand because these are situations that you will never go through as a white person you never have to take a second look or analyze a simple situation before you do it because you don't know how it may turn out okay and that's all I'm saying so for Caucasian people that think trolling us on these slave sites that think arguing with us or you don't put it placing the blame on the African tribes sold us at all these lies you constantly you know attribute to history is utter nonsense so understand why we want reparations we deserve that not only because of our ancestors in the horrible treatment they went through but because of everything that we endure on a day-to-day basis right here and get knighted states right here in America and because we are not afforded the same opportunities that are forwarded to a white person

    Dr. Charles Darwin and other scholars of that gyro have their own personal scientific advice if you will or so-called knowledge of us being more animal-like and Caucasians that's being more Superior life with no attributes to back any of this that's what's so crazy just words I'm out and it was also proven that a lot of times when no scholars come up with their research and the research would not course what they say they would then oftentimes switch it around so they would say OK afro people have elongated cranial and that's what makes them animal like in an in their their brain is not functionable like white people and then they would go and do the same research on a Caucasian skull and brain and they would come out with the same thing or different and then they would say oh well you know or know we thought it was this and we thought it was that. They were convinced they were good at convincing their selves and the whole worldabout race and science ideology with no backings the only backings they had we're private people that invested their money into the scholars so that books in paperwork and words could get out to a generation of people that were considered high class so they would spread the word now you have people saying oh yeah yeah white people are more Superior because it's been proven that they're their long-awaited skull has a shorter brain and their their spine is you know curved a little bit so it'll signal way more information to the brain and they just constantly constantly contradicted themselves and they had to go back and reenlist different words and you know just stamp out some of the things they said and did but never the last all these things were done with no proof but they were very good at convincing folks so that's how racism evolved and then racism has a sister called classes on and when racism wasn't the first form of you know abuse by white people the next form 2come in or what I'm not racist but they just don't fit in the same society is so now you have a class in something where we don't want them in our neighborhood because we don't want our neighborhood to come down you know and so you just have a world of racism because classism and racism can be offered in the same way you know
